Google Classroom saves time and paper, and makes it easy to create classes, distribute and submit assignments, communicate, and stay organized.

This video tutorial illustrates how to navigate Google Classroom for your students. When students click on the Google Classroom app on their iPad, on the left here it shows that it opens up to a list of your child’s classes. When you hit the three lines in the top left corner, you can see other options such as other classes, the calendar of assignment deadlines, and a to do list. When you click on a certain class, it opens up to the class’s stream. This is where students can see announcements and reminders of upcoming deadlines. On the bottom portion of the iPad, they see the option to choose the Classwork tab. The classwork tab is where all of the student’s assignments are posted with deadlines. Also, discussions are posted and topics. When a student clicks on a particular assignment, they see the instructions and you may notice they have different elements attached to help them do their work or to better access the instructions. Within each assignment, students have the option to add additional attachments or create new documents. When they add attachments, they have a list of options such as pulling from their drive, adding url links, pulling from their files or their photo library. Or, they can do live camera shots or add new docs, new slides, or new sheets. When the student add attachments, they need to know to wait until the new attachment shows up on the attachment screen. Then, they click Turn In, and then they get the option to verify the turn in and will click Turn In once again. That’s all for Google Classroom.
