Students in Touch

Students In Touch, SIT is an organization made up of 16 7th grade students and 16 8th grade students. They are elected by their peers and teachers in a campus-wide election in the spring. SIT is a leadership and service organization at Henderson Junior High. SIT members are role models who promote a positive school culture, encourage school spirit, and participate in activities that support both the school and the community.

 

Why Join SIT? 

  • Develop Leadership Skills – Gain experience in organization, teamwork, and decision-making.

  • Promote School Citizenship – Encourage a respectful, responsible, and inclusive school environment.

  • Engage in Community Service – Participate in events that benefit both students and the local community.

  • Foster School Spirit – Help coordinate student activities and school-wide events.

 
SIT members are in charge of many campus wide activities including Red Ribbon Week, various sports tournaments, Trivia, Teacher Appreciation Week and other community outreach programs.
 
If your student wishes to become a part of this organization, information is sent out to the HJH and Gilbert campus in the Spring.
