Henderson Junior High Counselor
Thank you Stephenville ISD for allowing me the privilege to work for such an incredible school district!
I was born and raised in Comanche, and I still reside there with my husband and children. This is my 20th year in education, and second year as a school counselor. I taught Spanish at the high school level and coached for 6 years, and then later worked 11 years at the elementary school as a bilingual self-contained teacher. I decided to leave the classroom and become a counselor to work with students in a different capacity.
My first year at Henderson Junior High was an incredible year working with staff, students, and parents. I have the opportunity to work with students in a number of ways. Not only do I provide crisis counseling, but I also support students in academic areas as well. Some of the concerns we address are: conflict resolution (with students and teachers), relationships, anxiety, attendance issues, and difficulty in particular classes. (These are just some of the issues we work on in our office.) I am also the testing coordinator for our campus.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you have any questions or concerns about your child. I look forward to continuing to serve this amazing community!
